Wana Wanua is a non-profit organization highly dedicated to preserving Indonesia’s social, cultural, and environmental wealth, with a primary focus on empowering indigenous communities and those in remote areas. With a deep understanding of the importance of preserving cultural heritage and local wisdom, this organization conducts comprehensive research and assessment programs as a foundation for its initiatives.
Wana Wanua promotes the development of creative economies based on local culture, non-formal education and literacy programs, and environmental conservation initiatives that integrate traditional practices with modern approaches.
We have developed into a national-level community for research, assessment, and community development to provide quality services and results. Our members are mostly experienced practitioners in the social, cultural, and environmental sectors, supported by academic educators from reputable universities and institutes. We are also open to students interested in research, providing guidance and support so that their work can contribute to the progress of our current and future generations.
Wana Wanua also organizes conferences, seminars, symposiums, workshops, training, and community development programs on various themes. We also provide online services to introduce local cultural wisdom, social and environmental activities, and promote the production results of indigenous and remote communities to support their efforts to improve their economic status.
We are willing to collaborate with educational institutions, universities, schools, NGOs, industries, and firms for programs and knowledge partnerships, community development, and joint event procurement. We organize and promote educational events about the social sector, culture, and local wisdom in professional events. We also invite all sponsoring parties from industry, companies, institutions, and government agencies to support the sustainability of our programs.
